FLASH flooding is causing traffic chaos across Oxfordshire.
Haddenham & Thame train station has been closed due to the severe weather while scores of roads across the county have been shut.
The closure of Haddenham & Thame station means all Chiltern Railway services from London Marleybone are terminating at Princes Risborough while services from Birmingham are terminating at Bicester North.
Four Oxfordshire rivers have been put on Flood Watch, meaning flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected.
The rivers are:
The River Thames between Sandford Lock to Whitchurch Lock, near Pangbourne
The River Ray
The River Ock
The River Windrush.
So far Oxfordshire highways have closed the following roads:
B4044 Botley to Farmoor
A40 in Wheatley
A418 at Tiddington
Goosey Lane in Goosey
Mill Lane in Chalgrove
The Garth in Yarnton
Hailey Road, Witney
The road to South Leigh from the slip road off the A40 Witney bypass has been closed due to flooding. A Witney fire crew was called out earlier today when a car became stuck.
Meanwhile sandbags have been put down along a road in East Hanney following reports of flooding.
The A4074 at Nuneham Courtenay has now been reopened after heavy rain closed the road earlier in the day.
Peers school in Littlemore and Witney Community Primary school have also been closed.
