Take a step back in time and discover what everyday life was like for the Victorians of rural Oxfordshire. Cogges offers a wide range of activities and attractions for all the family, from a leisurely walk around the walled Victorian garden, to meeting traditional breeds of animals.

Upon entering the beautiful farmstead with its original Cotswold buildings, visitors are transformed into an era of time gone by. Victorian maids are eager to tell you what their life was like and encourage you to sample some of their fresh baking, cooked on a traditional old range.

Children can have fun too, there are many activities available including, dressing up in Victorian clothes and playing with traditional toys of the period.

Cogges Manor Farm Museum hosts regular agricultural displays as well as seasonal activities and special events. Cogges really is a great day out for all the family.

Oxfordshire new museum uses, art archaeology and wildlife to new levels to help us appreciate the county’s local diversity. It offers a gallery exhibition highlighting some of the county’s most innovative industries from nuclear power to nanotechnology.

New interactive exhibits offer an alternative new way of learning and the new purpose built gallery displays a series of changing temporary exhibitions.

Museum Garden
The museum is set amidst large beautifully landscaped gardens, thus being an ideal location for any celebration or special occasion. The gardens are available for hire and make a wonderful back -drop for wedding photographs, christenings and birthday parties.

Closed Mondays(but coffee shop open Mondays)

Witney Meadows, Witney
These flower abundant meadows, bounded by the River Rindrush and the mill lade are at their seasonal best over the months of May to June. During the later summer months the meadows are cut for hay, to help encourage a species rich flora.

Blenheim Palace The home of the Duke of Malborough one of the most photographed palaces in the UK is situated a few miles away from Witney in the Oxfordshire town of Woodstock. Given to The Duke complete with estate as a reward for his victory over the French at the battle of Blenheim.

Blenheim Palace was designed by the architect Sir John Vanbrugh. He started in 1702 and was finished after the death of the Duke in 1722. Beautiful tapestries, and paintings adorn the walls of the stunning state rooms and visitors are encouraged to tour around the Private Apartments and see where the current Duke and his family live.

The palace is set within a stunning 2,100 acres of landscaped parkland and perfectly tailored lawns, A magnificent lake and bridge help complete a totally picturesque scene.

Set in 160 acres of glorious Oxfordshire countryside, Cotswolds Wildlife Park near Burford exhibits over 250 different species of animals that frequent the landscaped gardens.

How to get to the Cotswold Wildlife Park
By Car: The Park is located 2 miles South of Burford, Oxfordshire, on the A361. Burford is mid way between Oxford and Cheltenham on the A40. Directions are available when you click for the printable map, below.
Parking is free for visitors to the Park. There is a large tarmac area for coaches and ample disabled parking.
