I have never bought anything online because I don't trust that my details will be safe.
I think a minister of internet crime is a great idea. Identity theft isn't the only form of internet crime, there are so many scam artists, kidnappings and other stories we hear about on a daily basis! Part of the problem is that there is no control on the internet. While this is great in some ways ( we can talk freely on forums like this about how crap the government is etc), it's dangerous too.
