I'm a barmaid so I am not sure if my opinion carries much weight. For me 'work appropriate'is a very different story! The better I look the more money I make. My general rule: if a nipple pops out I have gone too far  Just joking!
I think it's very personal and depends hugely on the environment. I would worry if a lawyer was dressed like that, but a receptionist not so much.
I would be interested to hear what the men have to say on the subject! Does it make them uncomfortable, or do they enjoy ogling a bit during a dull work day?
I don't think you are being a prude but, live and let live sister!
