I have seen the movie the secret. For me, the secret is not really a secret because many people know about these things. There are many books written with same principles. The only thing is that the makers have gathered all these ideas and put it in one package.
The reason I believe that the secret is so popular is because it makes people believe they can achieve something without having to really do anything.
If you log on to there websites there is secret lamp, secret this or secret that. And why are all these guru's charging so much money ? Why not give the knowledge away free ???
