I think the main argument against it is the fact the 39th is a random game. Lets say Sunderland and Birmingham are fighting against the drop and start the 39th game level on points. If sunderland play Derby in Madrid and Birmingam play Chelsea in Sydney (remember the title would be at stake as well) how is that fair ?
