One week without our "gadgets" - 16/11/07 15:30
In partial response (and allegiance to) the post regarding the scientific/societal effects the electronic age has brought upon us, I wondered how many people would be willing to undergo an experiment of sorts, one which would keep them from using any Internet, iPod, cell phone, Blackberry, texter, etc., even no satellite TV -- just the basics. How would you react? Could you make it? Would you be able to go by the "honor system" and monitor yourself properly? I'm thinking of getting my first (Gasp!!!) cell phone (DOUBLE GASP!!!) for Christmas...I've done without thus far, but it got me wondering how long I'd survive without it, once I've had it a week.
Who could rise to this challenge? Become Amish-minded and such for one week? I dare you all!
