To Rush: Your bum has obviously not been given a wedgie whilst riding between two overweight passengers on a transcontinental flight!
While I don't think one ought to be taxed for personal reasons, it does make perfect sense to permit an increase in "seat size" -- has anyone noticed these aeroplanes aren't getting any larger, and that we are?
I'm not skinny, but I'm not hugely overweight (yet), and if I do become so, I'd completely understand that my seat would come at a higher cost than, say, Kate Moss's, who, by the time this passes, if it does, will no doubt be sitting among the rest of the "commonfolk" in coach!
